Volunteering

🙌 Get Involved with the NBMS PTSA!

We’re actively seeking volunteers to support the important work of our PTSA. Whether you have time for a one-off event or prefer a light ongoing role, there’s something for everyone. And don’t worry—we’re all volunteers too, so we keep expectations realistic!

The board is an all volunteer board with children at NBMS. We have some vacancies that we are actively looking for volunteers to fill.

  • MCCPTA Delegate (1 vacancy) - this role attends PTSA Board meetings (roughly every other month) and also attends monthly MCCPTA (countywide) meetings to represent (vote) NBMS and share decisions and discussions with our community. If you are interested in the boundary and program analysis or participating more on the countywide PTA advocacy, this is a great job for you!
  • WJ Cluster Representative (1 vacancy) - this role attends PTSA Board meetings and serves as liaison between the NBMS PTSA and the rest of the WJ Cluster. Duties include attending monthly cluster meetings to discuss issues affecting the cluster, planning strategy for cluster testimony to the Board of Education on issues concerning our schools, writing testimony, and reporting back to the NBMS community during the PTSA meetings. If you’re interested in the Woodward HS reopening and boundary study this is the role for you!
